| http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime...ss-8631665.htmlThe report linked is about a police operation in this country, where the police stole the few possessions of a group of homeless people. Apparently homeless people have a "negative impact" and it the view of these police officers that they have a responsibility to reduce that impact “The public rely on the police to reduce the negative impact; this includes the need for us to assist in the removal of tents and bedding from public spaces and other inappropriate locations.” I look forward to watching the police picking up ordinary litter, which also has a "negative impact" in public spaces. Good use of their time, it seems. I think cars have a "negative impact" on public space as well, cos they interfere with my photographic efforts and prevent children playing in the street. So I am glad the police will be seizing those as well. Or maybe not. They belong to real human beings, not those nasty subhuman homeless people, after all
