I have been wondering why these are banned. Peculiar question, I know. The banning of weapons of war is surely a good thing, and anything we can achieve in that line has to be good. But having said that what are the particular characteristics of these weapons which make them, (and biological weapons) unique? Anything?

I can't see any substantive difference between them and nuclear weapons: but they are not banned. Is there such a difference?
