I like videos. And this one seems quite good at explaining CDOs and the origin of the 2008 credit crisis:

I can also recommend Inside Job, which is much longer, but covers more ground. It explains the Icelandic situation, and credit default swaps, and deregulation, and the conflict of interest at Economical institutions and universities. You can see it here:

That is a very good video: very clear and easy to follow. As you know it is not my preferred way of getting information: but I think it did a good job. Well found!

A good video about the situation in Ireland: and the real consequences for ordinary people of doing what the IMF tells you. This is a very sad piece, not least because of the resignation of the people.
