| http://www.hs.fi/english/article/Helsinki+...s/1329104783706The city council of Helsinki is proposing to avoid contracts with companies which use tax havens, and are also promoting fair trade procurement for goods the city uses. This seems good to me. I suspect that if it were proposed in this country any such council would be pilloried for bringing politics into....well politics, really: and for costing council tax payers more money. That might even be illegal here, bow I come to think of it. Nevertheless this is admirable: I hope other cities and governments will follow this lead
