As you may be aware, the UK govt killed 3 people in Syria using drones. 2 of those people were UK citizens and I have no information about the other one.

Mr Cameron announced the action and stated it was legal, citing "self defence" in justification because these people were fighting for ISIS. This is a new departure for the UK, though familiar from the US.

The linked article gives important information about the nature of the "legal advice" received by the gov't. I think it is an important article, though I do not know what any informed opponent of that position would say in response to the points raised.

It does seem clear to me that this govt is intent on taking military action against Syria. The fact that their attempt to get approval for that in the House of Commons last year failed had not deterred them: it seems that there is no longer any pretense that we live in a democracy; not even a limited democracy where the votes in parliament are binding on the most serious issue of all. The press here have broadly prepared the way for war and have generally approved this action.

This, to me, is state sponsored terrorism, and we are supposed to be against that. So we were told.
