After registration here, this forum assumes that you will want to follow every thread you ever posted in, in your email account, in real-time. Of course, a lot of us would like a chance to see their own private emails, too, every now and then.

To turn off automatic email notifications, first un-check the "Track" option, which is found underneath any text input field. This will prevent threads you post in to be automatically added to your "Subscriptions". We recommend you never touch that check-box again.

In the event that you DO wish to be notified of any progress in a thread of your liking, you can manually add threads to your notification subscriptions by clicking "Track" at the top of any thread.

If you want to stop receiving emails whenever a post has been produced in a thread you are tracking, open your "Subscriptions" menu at the top of the screen. Check the threads you no longer wish to follow and hit "Unsubscribe".

Enjoy your liberated email accounts!

Addendum: There are some extra privacy options available in your Control Panel (top of screen) > Email Options.

I have already changed my e-mail settings. But thanks for making this notification and your concern for our mail-inboxes ;)
